Dream 1
I was pregnant with his child. He didn’t like that, of course, and wanted me to abort it. But I was scared. It was the early 1900s, and I knew back then there was a good chance of me dying. Being poor and an Irish immigrant, there really wasn’t anyone who would take much care in the job. So I ran. There was a very old house, very ornate and musky. I knew people still lived there, but I burst through the great doors because I knew if I was there, he wouldn’t hurt me. Maybe on the street he would catch me and beat me, but in the house he couldn’t.

Everything was really dark, and I began to wonder if the house really was abandoned, like most people thought. I wandered up to the second level, hiding in the shadows. I was still scared that he might come in and try to hurt me. So when the woman and I found eachother, we were both very startled. She was aging, and the toils of her age were just starting to pain her. I told her my story, and she listened calmly. She offered to let me stay with her in exchange for work. I would act as her maid, as hers had all quit. In exchange, she would let me stay in her home and help me care for my baby.

Jump a couple of months. My stommach is swollen, so I have to carry it as I walk. I’m in a frilly maid’s uniform, and I’m speaking with a thick Irish accent. I’m folding sheets and saying “Yes ma’m”. The old woman and I are best of friends, and we’ve even hired more staff. The house is bright again, though not quite so lively due to the abscence of anyone but maids and such. We keep getting prank phone calls, though. Somehow my man found out the number to the house, and calls to rasp threateningly into the receiver. It doesn’t sound like him, but I know it is. We’re still kind of scared of what he might do. We know I need some sort of protector, but we don’t know where to find one.

Dream 2
Danny and I had to pick up Lindsay for some reason. We went to her house, and it was next door to another house, one I visited in another dream. The yard had been completely torn up, and it was obvious the large Italian family was staying somewhere else for the time being. Lindsay had to be very secretive about the fact that she was seeing Danny, and there was all sorts of stupidity because of that. When she was finally done making herself look positively orange, I led them to the yard. I told them all about the family, and their rediculous back yard. How it was just manmade piles of dirt with grass on top and called “landscaping”. “Look!” I said, and you could see the foreign dirt, looking completely different from the dirt of the actual land. I knew it would be smeared around and flattened, and real landscapers would come in and fixed the house. Lindsay looked impatient, and asked if we could leave yet. I was just sad that the eccentric Italian family was not around. I wanted to say hi. They were scary at first, but once you knew them they were quite lovable.

Maybe I’ll get to see them in another dream.
