Zodiac Attack
I dreamed that I was in some sort of alternate world. There were many of us there too, with the spirits of animals in us. Sort of like Fruits Basket. Though we had come into the world together, we seperated into teams and began to try and destroy eachother. I was the head of one team, and reperesented the cat. The other team was lead by a boy who was the rat, and his team was out to kill me. Not everyone on the team, just me. My friends were incredably loyal to me, and soon began to die in efforts to save me. This began to result in full out warfare.
We began to realize that this alternate world was somehow connected with the library, and specific books each of us had read. There was this all out battle, in which we flied through the air. We were in animal bodies, and most of us were very tiny. The Rabbit and..someone else. The Tiger, I think. They were throwing what I could best describe as boomerang knives at me, trying to sink them into my skull. I discovered I was quite adept with them, and could catch them and throw them at the opposing animals. I discovered I could take out many in this manner. And did so.
I don’t remember what happened to result in this, but soon there were only two of us left. Myself, and I think he was a warthog..? Some kind of pig. He was very afraid. We were hiding behind shelves of hardcover books. The Rat was bloody, hurt badly, and still hunting me. I didn’t know what to do, because I knew I could never win in a fight with him. Then I remembered something. We were on a ship. A ship where everything on it was library books. Somehow I let the water onto the ship. I sang as I flew, everything filling up with water. And then I flew through a portal, back into the library.
Everyone was there, back as humans. We were all so upset about what had happened, everyone was traumatized. I found the Rabbit with a couple other animals. They looked at me teerfully through their beautiful faces. Everyone was alive. I hugged them close. We talked about how there were only paperback books now, they couldn’t find the hardcover books. I told them about the flood. I told them they’ve probably been moved from us, to help us heal. We were all so obviously damaged. I told them to look for other animals, and to meet me back in a certain room in the libarary.
I found the rat. He looked washed out, exhausted. His hair was still dripping. He looked like an elongated, clumsy version of James with too big glasses. I felt myself draw to him. I moved to him and held him tightly. He was so tall that even on the tips of my toes, I could only reach his neck. I kissed his collar bone. He asked me what I was doing. I bowed my head and stopped. Embarrassed, I told him I was kissing his neck. He asked me why. I told him that he was so tall that I couldn’t reach his lips. He cradled me in his arms, then gently lay down, moving me with him. He was on his back, and I was on all fours over him, blushing hard with surprise. Well, he said. Now you should have no problems kissing me.
I woke up.
