I had a very hard time falling asleep. I was tossing and turning. I couldn’t get comfy. But I was really tired. It was almost as if I was waiting for someone.

Someone was having a study meet. I wanted to go to study, and also because I found out Lurid was going to be there. I went to Shula’s house, of all people. I was thirsty and saw everyone helping themselves to a cabinet full of glasses. As I pulled each one out I noticed that they needed to be rinsed out before you drank from them. There was a thin layer of dust. The study meet was apparently at a close, I came late. I saw Flavie and set up plans for the next meet to be at my house. I wanted to impress Lurid. I got home that nite with an e*mail from Lurid in my mailbox. She was telling everyone in the study group that she felt it wasn’t doing anything anymore and it was therefore disbanded.

I woke up and tossed some more.

I was in school for an orchestra rehersal. The stage was set up all strangely. Suddenly ickle children were there, hugging teachers randomly. The rehersal ended so I went to pack up my viola. Lily was with me and we were laughing over somefink stoopid. Ms. Cowan was being hugged by a group of 7th graders, which makes no sense because she teaches 11th grade English.

Woke up and looked at my clock. The alarm rings.

Lily and I come to my house. There’s slushy snow everywhere, giving the impression of January. I see a red car in the driveway and freak out, hoping Lurid hasn’t arrived yet. That’s when I notice I don’t have my sketch book, I left it in Guam. I want it back desperately, but I go inside just to see Nicole Gluxman melt through my back yard door.
